This wind-up orange tabby cat is just too cute! If you’ve ever lived with a cat, this little fellow unbelievably mimics a cat at play. When wound up, he crouches back then lunges forward, moves up and down while his mouth opens and closes making a little raspy chirp like cats do when they’re talking to you; as the mechanism works, it sounds like he is purring. It is so cute and funny – with moves that cat lovers will understand and appreciate! He has green glass eyes, a pale celluloid nose, pink velvet inside his ears, and a mohair-like coat. This kitty measures 12” long from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail; the body alone is 7 ¼” long, and he is 6” tall to the top of his head. I feel sure he was made in the early 1950s when Japan was pulling out from the destruction of World War II, bearing a Made in Japan tag. There are a few condition issues – one seam on his back leg is open a little bit and two wires that help manipulate his mouth have pushed through his fur, but he’s so darling that it doesn’t detract from his character.
