Made in Occupied Japan, this precious little celluloid baby crawls when you wind him up. He still works and in is remarkably good shape for being 70 years old. The collar on this 5” long, 4 ½” tall baby has a small tear in it and his clothing is worn thin around the winder – somebody sure must have played with it a lot! There are no splits, dents, or cracks in the celluloid, which is miraculous in this lightweight material. These were made to be inexpensive toys that wouldn’t last, but this one sure has! It’s precious.
This would be a great addition to your toy or mid-century collection. Please contact us if you have any questions.
