From a Texas oil estate. In the 1970s Towle made small sterling perfume flasks that could be neatly carried in a purse or travel case. The flask is 2 ¾” long and fits into a 3” long velveteen pouch to protect the sterling from being scratched in your bag. The top and dabber are gilt, and fashioned to the top is a black tassel. The lady of the house definitely used this flask because the fragrance of her perfume is still evident when it is opened. It is in excellent vintage condition with only a little soil on the pouch. It is marked Towle Sterling on the side.
