This wonderful bone china bell made in England by Aynsley to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America is already 43 years old! The front of the bell pictures General George Washington, born Feb. 22, 1732, died Dec. 14, 1799, with the year 1776 on one side and 1976 on the other side. The back has an eagle with arrows and olive branches in its talons and the American flags of 1776 and 1976. The bell is 4 ¼” tall to the top of the gold finial that depicts an eagle. The bottom of the bell is 3 ½” in diameter. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
