What a cute piece to hold pine cones in the winter and knives and forks for a summer picnic! This homemade kitchen tote is fitted out nicely and shows an interesting wood grain. It appears to be in a natural state with no finish or varnish on it. The base of the carrier measures 11 ¾” x 6 ½” and it flares open to the top to 13” x 8”. It stands 3 1/8” tall to the top of the handle. It is in wonderful vintage condition with no splintering or cracking of the wood; there are a few spots and scrapes, but that is to be expected with a utilitarian piece like this. It’s nice to know it was used over the years.
This would look great in a country kitchen or on the hearth in the family room. Please contact us if you have any questions.
