The Killinger Company of Fort Payne, Alabama, patented several models of fabric cold drink cozies between the years of 1936-40, and this charming set of 8 is one of those sets. On the bottom of the box these cozies came it states that these were made from a mercerized cotton fabric which they called terri-knit. The 4” tall cozies are a stretchy fabric and fit on tumblers or cold drink bottles to keep the condensation from ruining the table top with a water ring. Each cozy in the set is a different color with a white band around the top. They are still very stretchy and elastic. The colors are very bright, all though a few of them have a strip of fading where it was exposed to the light as it was rolled up in the box. The original box is intact and nicely colored, but it does show wear,
These bring back memories of slower times when people sat on their porches drinking iced tea and visiting with their neighbors. This set would be a wonderful addition to your retro collection or to use every day. Please contact us if you have any questions.
