This 5” tall glass bell is the prettiest shade of ruby red glass; it has a deep, rich red, but not the really, dark red that you see sometimes. It is decorated in the style of Mary Gregory glass with a white enameled scene of a little, bonneted girl sitting on a garden bench. There is white enameled trim around the base of the handle and the bottom of the bell. It is signed on the back S. Miller 1979. I don't know who the glassmaker is, but the handle is similar to some I've seen on Fenton, but Westmoreland made some bells like this one in the1970s. The bell is in excellent condition with not chips or cracks. The glass is very shiny and there are many reflections in it, but there are no flaws.
This would make a charming addition to your ruby glass or bell collection or just as a striking display piece. Please contact us if you have any questions.
