Consolidated Glass Co. made this lovely cosmos or stemless daisy pattern in opaque glass for only 21 years, from 1894-1915. The pattern has a cross hatch background with pink, yellow, and blue stemless flowers decorating both the cover and the rim of the underplate. There is pink casing toward the top of the lid and one pink flower for the finial on the lid. This pattern could go with a formal set of china as well as your everyday pattern – either way it would look wonderful on your table. The piece is in very good condition with one small flake on the rim of the cover and some loss of color to the flowers on the underplate. The underplate is just under 8” in diameter; the dish is about 5 ½” to the top of the finial. This piece was obtained from a Texas estate and still has its price tag from the 1960s when the estate owner purchased it from an antique store; she paid $145.00 for it almost 50 years ago.
This would make a wonderful addition to your glass or kitchen collection. Please contact us if you have any questions.
