What a great use for an old sap bucket! Still equipped with the old metal hanger on the back, this wooden bucket has been painted a tan-yellow with pears and apples on the front; the inside is painted a soft green. Standing 9” tall and 12” in diameter, it would be great to hang in a mud room to stash gloves or garden utensils in, or to sit it on a kitchen cabinet to store potatoes and onions in. There are rough places on the bucket, but that is to be expected when you consider that it was used outdoors for seasons upon seasons to catch sap. It is signed on the bottom C. Lehmann.
This would be a wonderful addition to your folk art collection or to keep kindling and pine cones by the fireplace. Please contact us if you have any questions.
