This charming little diorama depicts a country kitchen equipped with a sink and water pump, wood burning stove, table with checked cloth and a bowl of apples and a kitchen cabinet displaying dishes. There is a slightly-open door between the kitchen and pantry which is stocked with sacks of beans and sugar, cans of fruits and vegetables, and boxes of salt, tea and flour. The diorama is 8” wide, 5 1/8” tall and 3” deep. There are wood beams across the kitchen ceiling and the wood bottom of the box is made to look like there are planks of wood flooring. On the outside of the box wood “shiplap” or “cedar shakes” make up the siding. There are so many cute miniature features to this piece. All of the furniture is made of wood, as is the box that houses it. The sacks and tablecloth are actual cloth. This is a stationery diorama with all the pieces glued in place. It is in very good vintage condition with the exception of a broken table leg, and the door of the clock has fallen behind the stove (both of which are hard to spot). We haven’t gotten it out, but the new owner can attempt that!
This would be a wonderful addition to your miniature collection. Please contact us if you have any questions.
