This carved figure has no maker’s mark, but sure bears some of the characteristics of an Anri piece. The 10 5/8” tall carving depicts a smartly dressed man walking with an unusual gait. He has an expressive face and nicely carved features on his clothing. The finish on the piece is still very shiny causing many reflections in the photos taken of him. There is a small drilled hole in his left hand, which looks like he was holding something at some point, but he didn’t have anything with him when we obtained him. There is some old brown paper glued to the bottom of the stand; so we can’t see any marks. He is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or loss of paint. There are some tiny white specks on the base which are not terribly noticeable when looking at him in person, but do show up in the photos.
