Three-Piece Set of 1950s Superior Brand Off-White Dollhouse Kitchen

Tobias Cohn started his toy company around 1900, first manufacturing high quality tin litho dollhouses and other metal toys. At that time, he was working with the Lido Company who made the small accessories that went with the metal toys. Apparently, later he began making his own accessories, such as the ones we have for sale, and named his company Superior Toy Co.

This cream or off-white color plastic kitchen set includes a sink unit, measuring 2 ¾” wide, 2” tall, 1 1/8” deep; a stove 2” wide, 1 7/8” tall, 1 1/8” deep; and a refrigerator that is 1 ¾” wide, 3 1/8” tall, and 1 ¼” deep. The stove and the sink are both marked with Superior written on a banner on a pole. The refrigerator isn’t marked, but through research, we found that that particular fridge was made by Superior Toy. Other than a little discoloration between the three pieces, they are in very good shape. The stove has a bit of extra plastic on the edge that must have oozed out of the mold when it was poured; it also has a small black mark on the top, but it must have been done during the manufacture.
