This sweet little dresser just oozes with charm. I’m sure during the Depression, some grandpa made this for a loved one to play with, since money was too scarce to buy one. The front legs were cut in a scalloped pattern to give it some style. It stands 11 ¾” tall to the top, 7 1/8” wide, and 4 7/8” deep. The finish has crackled with age, and where the mirror used to be is some very old paper – backing to the mirror I would suppose. A screw is on the front of the drawer where I’m sure a little knob used to be, and there are nicks and dings, but this all adds to the whimsy of the piece.
This would be a precious piece to accompany your favorite doll or as a decorative item. It would also be cute to sit on your own dresser and hid trinkets in the little drawer.
