This cute 15 ½” tall jointed cloth doll just oozes charm. Probably from the 1940-50s, she has a double-seamed face with embroidered eyebrows, eyes, nose and little red mouth. Her black yarn hair is pulled into braids with bangs on her forehead; the yarn is still full and tightly fastened to her head. She has little formed fingers and feet with socks and felt shoes. Her arms and legs are jointed with buttons. Her homemade red dress is completely hand-stitched and is trimmed in white with tiny red polka dots. She has a slight stain on her left cheek and one of her shoes has come partially unstitched, but that doesn’t detract from her cuteness factor! She is a really sweet doll. She has no smoke or musty odors.
These would be a darling addition to your doll or Black Americana collection. Please contact us if you have any questions.
