Anchor Hocking’s Fire King line came out with this beautiful soft blue color in the late 1940s-early 1950s. Often confused with delphite and azurite, this shade of turquoise has very little green in it, and is more of a light robin’s egg blue. The saucer is 5 5/8” in diameter; the cup stands 2” tall with a diameter of 3 5/8”. They are marked on the bottom: OVEN Fire King WARE Made in U.S.A. The cups and saucers are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, and they are quite substantial in weight. There are very few wear marks on these 60-year-old dishes. One cup has a silvery rub mark on the outside (pictured third to the last photo). One cup has two very faint white rub marks on the outside (pictured in second to last photo - marks are faintly two small dots in the middle of the photo - not the shiny reflections of light elsewhere on the cup). One cup has a very slight white mark on the inside of the cup (very faint in the last photo).
We are selling these in sets of 4 cups and saucers. They are priced as a set of four.
