This beautiful pair of 1960s black snakeskin heels was designed by Stuart Weitzman for his father, Seymour, who made shoes in the 1950s and `60s. Mr. Seymour died in 1965 and his two sons (Stuart and his brother) continued to design shoes until they sold the company in 1972. These 50-year-old classic shoes could be worn today and still be in style. They have an open toe graced with a snakeskin bow and have cut-outs on each side of the heel. The leather soles indicate that the shoes were worn, but there are very few scuff marks on the shoes and the insides show very little wear. There is one place on the heel that looks like there was a scuff, but it is very hard to see. The shoes are marked size 8 AA, but I feel very sure that in today's sizes it would be approximately a size 7AA. I wear an 8, and I can't get my entire foot in the shoe.
Today, Stuart Weitzman designs million dollar shoes for the movie stars. Own a piece of history and add these wonderful shoes to your collection. Please contact us if you have any questions.
