Even though this heavy denim jacket is 30 years old, it is so “today!” The denim shows some wear and fading, something we all want, but if you want holes in it, you’ll have to make your own! The washed denim is so substantial that it will take lots of wear before any holes will appear (it weighs 2 lbs. 8 oz.). But it is so much fun with the Southwestern/Native American theme painted on front and back. The Levi Strauss & Co. tag in the neck shows that it is a size large. When laid flat, it measures 24” from shoulder seam to shoulder seam, and about 20” from side seam to side seam; it’s 25” from the collar seam to the bottom of the jacket. My husband wears a 16 ½, 33 long-sleeve shirt, and the jacket is just about right for him. Above the left front pocket is a painted swatch with a cactus behind it; the artist signed and dated her work on the swatch: Hand painted by Alice S 89. There is another word below that, but I can’t make it out. She also signed and dated the back of the jacket on bottom right side. It has all of its metal Levi Strauss buttons and a Levi tag on the inside. There are a number of pockets; so you can carry quite a few things while wearing it.
Even though this is a man’s style jacket, if it were my size, I’d wear it!
