This is a 6" bread plate in the highly collectible hand painted Stangl White Dogwood pottery on green. Stangl Pottery had its roots back to 1805, but it didn't become known as Stangl until a young chemist and designer from Germany by the name of Johann Martin Stangl brought new innovations to the company and later actually bought the company. Stangl Pottery ended production in the late 1970s after Martin Stangl's death.
The plate is in excellent condition and show that it has been used very little. There are no chips or cracks and the glaze is in wonderful condition.
