For those who follow the story of Scarlett O’Hara, you’ll remember that her husband dies, and she reluctantly wore the obligatory black mourning dress. But, not totally giving into tradition, she accented her black attire with a green velvet bonnet adorned with feathers, ribbon and flowers; it is coquettishly tied at her chin. This 10” Cissette is dressed in a beautifully tailored black frock designed with ruffles and lace, under which she wears a lacey petticoat and undies. At her neck she has a cameo, and her dark hair is pulled into a black lace snood at the back of her neck. With all of the dark colors, it’s hard to catch all of the exquisite details, but she is absolutely beautiful. In the usual Madame Alexander style, this doll’s outfit spares few details. She is in excellent condition, has never been played with and has always been in a smoke-free environment. She still has her original arm tag and box. The Alexander Co. cards are inside her original box.
