Lenox china is so beautiful, and the Autumn pattern certainly fits that description! This gorgeous pattern was first introduced in 1919, and in 1966 it changed the backstamp from black or green to gold, which these dishes bear. The 50+ year-old set we have is from a Texas estate. You would think that the set was purchased last year, it is in such beautiful condition, with hardly any evidence of utensil marks and no chips, cracks, or crazing. These 9” diameter soup plates – which would also be nice for a salad - are decorated around the rim with luscious blue, green, and tan with blue and white enameled flowers on an ivory background and has gold trim. In the center is a floral arrangement with enameled flowers and greenery spilling out of a bowl. There are no visible utensil marks and no chips or cracks; in fact some of these still have their original price tags on them, showing a price of $110 each.
We have other pieces in this pattern; so please look in our shop if you are wanting to add to your set. This set was apparently added to over the years, since there are two different cup styles and two different rimmed soup styles.
This would be a gorgeous addition to your dining table. Please contact us if you have any questions.
