A favorite of many people, The Friendly Village by Johnson Brothers was manufactured 1953-2003 and is marked “A genuine hand engraving.” After that, production of these dishes was moved for a short time to China, but they do not have the hand engraving mark. This pattern has become very popular because of the different scenes on each piece that call up memories of a more tranquil time when life wasn’t as hectic as it is today. These 6 ¼” bread plates are decorated with a red barn and red sugar buckets with a garland of grape leaves around the rim. They are in wonderful condition with no chips, crazing or cracks and show hardly any utensil marks. They are marked Made in England by Johnson Brothers, A genuine hand engraving.
These are priced individually so that you may purchase the number you need.
