Over the decades, Beatrice Alexander Behrman (Madame Alexander) designed many dolls to reflect popular literature, art, events, and famous characters. In the 1990s a number of dolls were designed for the Easter celebration. This 1995 8” Easter Bonnet Wendy is decked out in the cutest yellow floral striped dress with a white organdy pinafore; a yellow flower basket is embroidered on one corner of the pinafore, and two pink ribbons flow from the bodice. Under her dress are a crisp white lace-trimmed slip and bloomers. Her bonnet is tied with a pink ribbon, and she dons pink satin shoes. Wendy also comes with a woven straw basket that holds two painted Easter Eggs. She is absolutely precious. In the usual Madame Alexander style, this doll’s outfit spares few details. It is in excellent condition, has never been played with and has always been in a smoke-free environment. She still has her original arm tag and box.
We used to be authorized Madame Alexander Doll dealers and have many other dolls which have not yet been placed on Ruby Lane.
