In the mid-1990s, Madame Alexander came out with a bride series, depicting bridal gowns from historic periods, and this 10” Cissette is dressed in a typical Empire period bridal gown. It consists of a soft white under-dress with lace over that and lace puff sleeves; the train is of the same lace. The front of the dress also has applied flowers as does her straw bonnet to which her tulle vail is attached. Her red hair is pulled up into a lace snood. She carries white flowers and wears soft white high heel high top shoes. Her undies are white with lace trim. No detail has been spared, which is always the way with Madame Alexander dolls. She is in pristine condition and has only been out of the box on a few occasions. She still has her original arm tag and box with the original papers inside the box. She also has a gold arm medallion indicating that she is a 75th anniversary doll.
We used to be authorized Madame Alexander Doll dealers and have many other dolls which have not yet been placed on Ruby Lane. If you have any you have been looking for, don’t hesitate to ask if we have it.
