Housed in a 6 ¾” x 4 1/8 vinyl packet, ready for collecting, is this Fleetwood set of six first day of issue stamps commemorating foreign wars our veterans fought in with 10 cent stamps issued on March 24, 1974 and placed on envelopes featuring each war. Commemorated are: The Spanish American War, World War I, World War II, Korea, Viet Nam, and a general remembrance of the wars and the VFW. A short history is printed on the flap side of the envelopes, plus there is a small pamphlet about the VFW included. The set is in excellent condition; the estate holders were very meticulous people and everything they had was pristine. The envelopes may have yellowed a tiny bit over the last 45 years, but there are no tears or spots.
