From a Texas estate of world travelers, this 8 1/4” vase is quite substantial, weighing 3 lbs. 10 oz. It is a beautiful piece with teal and golden yellow in a somewhat asymmetrical, lobed form. The vase is 5” at its widest and the mouth measures 4 ½” in diameter (outside measurement), and the lip is very thick. It has some bubbles in it which just reinforces that this piece was hand crafted. The bottom has been ground to a smooth finish; so there is no pontil mark; there is no evidence of a signature. It is in excellent condition with no cracks or rubs, and as evidenced in the photos, the glass is very shiny. The bottom does show some wear from having been moved on a shelf over the years.
What a great find to add to your art glass collection or just as an accent piece on your shelf. Please contact us if you have any questions.
