In 1912, high in the secluded Italian Alps in the tiny village of Groden, Anton Riffeser united many of the region’s craftsmen to join his workshop to produce fine wood carvings. Taking the first two letters of his first and last names, the House of ANRI came to be known as the ultimate source of high quality, collectible wood figures.
Since its inception, ANRI has always recognized designs and drawings that could be interpreted into figures by master crafts people, and this music box is no exception. This 5 5/8” tall 3 ¾” diameter piece is hand crafted and hand painted, making it unique, since no two are exactly alike. Decorated with a young girl holding a three-leaf clover after filling her bucket from the well while a bird observes, it plays “My Wild Irish Rose” The base is green, decorated with darker green clover. It is in good condition.
