This cute pressed tin match safe oozes with character. It has lost most of its shiny coating, and maybe at one time it had some red paint on it, too, but it is still functional. In between the two match holders is a striker which does show wear; so this was truly used in someone’s kitchen decades ago to light their oven. The piece is 4 1/2” wide and 5” to the top of the holder above the hole from which to hang it. This would be so charming hanging in a country kitchen or by a fireplace. It shows wear and loss of paint or finish, but it makes up for it in charm.
This would make a great addition to your country or primitive collection. Please contact us if you have any questions.
