In the 1940-50s quality costume jewelry was made by Phyllis; the pieces even carried a one-year warranty and many of the pieces were hand fitted. These 7/8” screwback emerald and diamond rhinestone earrings certainly exhibit the quality workmanship. The design consists of three green stones flanked by a clear stone on each side on the top and the design repeats on the bottom. All of the stones are secure and sparkle beautifully; one stone is a bit less sparkly, but not enough to detract. The earrings are in excellent vintage condition. They are marked on the screw top Phyllis 1/20 12 K GF. My camera doesn’t like closeups; so the photo of the marks is not as clear as I would like. The earrings are much more brilliant than my camera would capture; they are lovely.
