This colorful glass trade bead necklace, probably from Africa, could be worn just as it is, making an interesting accessory to any outfit. It consists of four strands of beads; the beads measure approx. 3/16”x3/8” or 5mm x 8mm each. Each strand is about 21” long with about 95 beads per strand. It is obvious that the beads are handmade, because they vary in size and shape. The beads are dark blue, white, green, royal blue, yellow, orangey-red, and either black or a very dark blue. They are strung on a heavy three-ply cord of peach, tan and green which ties in a knot in the back; the cord appears to be in good condition. The necklace has a 13” drop from the knot. This handcrafted necklace is in as found condition. Other than some differences in sizes of beads, which is part of the hand-crafting, it is in excellent condition.
