Even if you didn’t use this wonderful piece as a buckle, it would make a great statement piece as a pendant or brooch with very little effort. The thin brass has been fashioned into a tiny floral garland upon which green and amber colored rhinestones have been set. The rhinestones still have lots of sparkle, even though the camera couldn’t quite capture it. Off-center on each piece is a celluloid floral design encased in brass. The celluloid takes on the look of cloisonné. Each side is 2 ¾” in diameter, not counting the hook or eye. Each half of the buckle is missing one green and one amber rhinestone, but it is hard to detect. One side is slightly bent, but it is only seen when you look at it from the side. Considering this is nearly 100 years old, the buckle is in very good condition.
This would make a gorgeous addition to your vintage clothing collection. Please contact us if you have any questions.
