A divine Art Deco necklace by Gripoix with the French screw-in barrel clasp that she used, there are three strands of green gripoix glass beads, French rhinestone Rondells and faux glass pearls on either side with a big glass pearl drop.
It measures a total length of 15 ½” long; it is 13 ¾” on either side in length to the rhinestone flower that she used frequently in her jewelry of that era, were a big faux glass pearl drop suspended from a gripoix glass bead, rondells on either side measures 2”.
A very well constructed French necklace with typical French glass pearls and rondells on either side when worn and then some more near the bottom before the drop. It is in very good condition with just some wear to two of the mid-size pearls where the triple strand stops.
A French fabulous historic piece of Gripoix that I love but I never ever get a chance to wear it, so it has been in a box put away for a long time.
French in origin, circa 1930
