A fabulous old European box made of cardboard with a lithograph of a noble lady with hand painted details in the center surrounded by an outer paper frame in the French raised style with gold color detailing.
On the inside fitted lid, someone many years ago penciled in, 'A. M. Campbell-Davis, My Mother as a girl'; well, that is very dubious, more likely it belonged to someone's mother years ago, but it's still very sweet.
In good antique condition, some foxing on the inside which is pretty hard to get away from on a box of this age, which is probably mid-1800s and some minor wear to the edges. The measurements are approximate. This is an antique item and as such may show minimal wear but it is as you see pictured and described.
