Here is a lovely sentimental card from the late 1800s with a little die cut image of a Victorian rose on a book with embossed silver lacy paper featuring little Stars of David design in each corner under a flower! It pops up slightly (maybe could do more but I didn't push it) and stays lifted but it has few issues, one of the tiny star is missing a little corner piece on the left, it is signed inside and on the back a piece of tape was removed from the back and it shows when opened because they used such thin paper back then which does not affect the front so it displays well.
There are however no bends or tears to the edges of the thin paper card and that's pretty rare. These were found tucked away flat and away from light so the colors are all very bright, away from moisture so the paper was preserved and as you see the edges are without bends, rips, etc.
