Here is a lovely little treasure from the Victorian era, a very sweet target pin in the shape of a flower set with lots of hand cut sparkling paste stones and small natural pearls in a very well constructed sterling setting. The whole of it is small, as expected from the late Victorian period, measuring about just under an inch in diameter.
Condition is very good, t-hinge with c-clasp closure to the reverse in fine working order. The paste are all very nice set snuggly in their Victorian half-moon shaped and circle setting; the pearls are very sweet and small, but being natural, early pearls you see that they are not the best of color, they are however, all genuine and nice and round.
A makers mark too small for me to read and stamped 925 for sterling on the reverse, I had them sent to me from England and I believe they are English in origin, circa late 1800s.
