A pretty little treasure dating to the 1880s, this early blue glass bottle was hand blown into a feminine curvy Arabian type shape and then hand painted with happy sunny color enamels of orange, white, purple and touches of gold.
It measures 5 3/4" in height to include the top, the hand blown bottle with the broken off pontail is 4" and 3 1/4" across the bottom, the top is about 2". In very good antique condition I can not see where there is any missing enamel paint, just some of the band gilding under the rim has faded and there are some tiny nibbles around the bottom of the stopper, otherwise, immaculate.
I'm not sure of origin, looks Turkish but maybe French, circa 1880s.
