A lovely antique white opaline French glass vase with a ruffled top, all hand blown and over a century old, would have been offered in the best shops of Paris at the end of the 1800s.
It exhibits all the beautiful pinks and oranges that we expect from true opaline glass when light passes through. Many times we refer to what looks more like satin glass as French opaline, or even English Bristol glass, but only true opaline glass will show these colors in the light, that is why I always try to display mine in the window so it shows.
Perfect for a floral arrangement it measures 11" x 16" around, 6" across the top, 3" opening and 4" across the bottom.
In good antique condition without any chips or cracks, there shows some original paint inside the rim, but overall it is a beautiful "blank" piece, French in origin, mid to late 1800s.
