The French designer Louis Rousselet was known to be one of the best jewelry maker of the 1940-1950s era. Specially known for his faux glass pearls, which his family guarded the 'secret' for many years in the productions of these pearl beads, commonly used in his jewelry.
Here are a lovely pair of his earrings that are a little unusual for him since normally we find the white pearls, these poured glass pearls are supposed to imitate rare black pearls. They are in very good vintage condition without any chips, filigree metal backs signed FRANCE with French clips, exactly right for Rousselet, circa 1940s.
