These earrings are beautiful! They are vintage 1940s from the Mazer Brothers, Louis and Joseph, who used only the very finest quality crystal stones and metals when manufacturing their costume jewelry. In the early 1950s, Joseph left the company to start his own jewelry business under the name Jomaz, who continued to make beautiful jewelry until the mid-century.
These fine vintage earrings are made of faceted crystal glass with a central bright crystal and more very tiny little crystals on the edges along the side the glass citrine stones to form a floral design. They are set in very solid open back gold plate and have what I would say is the 'look of real' gemstones but are rather a very good imitation. They are in what I would consider to be immaculate condition and I cannot tell that they were ever worn.
Sweet yet sophisticated, they measure just under an inch at about 7/8"across, signed MAZER on the clips they are circa 1940s. They are so pretty, they would be appropriate for any special occasion but the color reminds me of a Spring wedding.
