A lovely piece of brocade with gold metallic threads running all through the fruit and flower pattern, with additional flower pattern of silk threads in the brocade, this plum color fabric is a nice survivor of the Victorian era. It measures just about 17" x 13" and has some kind of gossamer backing to it that was not sewn on but I bought it this way years ago to make a doll dress out of it, but never did.
I have hand washed it but you see there are a few large spots on the fabric, which may come out with the right remover, I don't know; certainly for making doll clothing I would cut around it. Everything in my shop is genuinely antique or vintage and as such may have some things related to age, I try to describe everything but please view and enlarge the photos for more details. Based on the fabric, I would think it is circa mid 1800s
