A nice long piece of antique bouillon metallic trim dating to the end of the 18th century; this came off an ecclesiastic curtain, probably for the Catholic church. It measures 2" wide and 4 yards in total length.
Very pretty vine design, the gold is still very bright and vibrant but is it old and there are places that have loose threads where it was removed from the brocade, there are also some bends and as you see a place where the trim was seamed together.
Still a great find especially since there is so much of it making it possible to use for many other projects. European in origin, dating about 1780-1790 maybe as late as 1800.
