This lovely antique 9 carat gold cross was made by William Walter Cashmore of Birmingham, England. It bears full English hallmarks for the year 1911.
The cross measures 1½" (3.8cms), including the ring, by 7/8" (2.2cms). It weighs 3 grams.
The front is engraved with a beautiful all over design of ivy leaves, the symbol of remembrance.
At the top the ring has a bail attached for a chain.
The back is plainly finished but bears full English hallmarks. There is `WWC’ for William Walter Cashmore. Next are `9' and `.375'. the marks for 9 carat gold, then the anchor for the Birmingham assay office and finally the date letter `m' for 1911.
This beautiful cross is in wonderful antique condition and would make a perfect gift for someone special. It will arrive in a gift box.
