This beautiful French medal is gold filled. It is most likely a First Communion medal as it bears a monogram and the date 1927. However I feel pretty sure that it was made earlier circa 1900-1910.
It measures 1 and 1/8” (2.8cms) long, including the ring, by ¾” (2cms) across.
In the centre is a raised image of Our Lady on a plain background. She is framed with a lavish , pierced design of scrolls and foliage,
At the top is a very slightly deformed ring and a bail to hold a chain.
The back is plain apart from the monogram and the date ‘’16 juin 1927’.
With only slight signs of age, not visible to the naked eye, this beautiful medal will arrive in a gift box.
