This lovely antique 9 carat gold cross was made by Charles Daniel Broughton of Birmingham, England. It bears full English hallmarks for the year 1912.
The cross measures 1 and 7/16" (3.7cms), including the ring, by 11/16" (1.8cms). It weighs 2.5 grams.
The front is engraved with a beautiful all over design of ivy leaves for remembrance.
At the top the ring has a bail attached for a chain.
The back is plainly finished but bears full English hallmarks. There is `CSB' for Charles Daniel Broughton, a company particularly know for their silver and gold chains. Next are `9' and `.375'. the marks for 9 carat gold, then the anchor for the Birmingham assay office and finally the date letter `n' for 1912.
This beautiful cross is in wonderful antique condition and would make a perfect gift for someone special. It will arrive in a gift box.
