This exquisite, French rosary is composed of natural garnet stones and the silver tests to 800-900 quality. It dates to circa 1900.
The rosary measures 22” (55cms) around and the drop is 5 and 5/8” (14.3cms), The individual garnets are approximately 6mms wide. It weighs 35.4 grams.
The garnet beads are round and a lovely.really dark red colour which contrast beautifully with the silver. The beads average about 4mms wide.
The beads are delicately faceted to catch the light and the deep red glints in the light. They are joined by tiny links and short lengths of snake chain. The centre is a delicately engraved, double sided Marial symbol.
The drop finishes with a lovely crucifix. It is delicately engraved and pierced on both sides. The separately applied corpus is very finely engraved.
This truly lovely, natural gemstone rosary is in excellent antique condition and it will arrive in a gift box.
