This delicate, religious pendant is made of 800-900 silver with a rose gold vermeil surround. I believe that it dates to the early 20th century and is from a European country. It is accompanied by a new sterling silver chain.
The very pretty twisted chain measures 15½” (39cms) long and closes with a lobster clasp. An adjacent ring is marked ‘925’ for sterling silver.
The pendant bears an image of the crowned Virgin and Child. It is rimmed with rose gold vermeil which extends to the rim and the bail.
The reverse has a spray of lilies and an inscription which is hard to decipher. There are also some hallmarks on the top ring which I am unable to interpret.
This delightful piece is in fine vintage condition and will arrive in a gift box.
