This charming, French Communion medal is hallmarked for 800-900 silver quality. It dates to circa 1910.
It measures 1” (2.5cms) across and weighs 3.2 grams.
At the centre of this pierced and airy medal is a gleaming, rose gold communion chalice. It sits within a delicate shape , engraved with the emblems of the communion. The surround is ornamented with trailing flowers and leaves.
At the top is a ring with the French boar’s head mark for 800-900 silver quality and a maker’s mark. There is a bail for a chain.
The back is smoothly finished and plain ready for an engraving.
This beautiful medal is in fine antique condition and will arrive in a gift box.
