One side celebrates ‘the Virgin of Carmel’ It presents an image of The Virgin Mary and Child Jesus presenting the Holy Scapular. Traditionally, Mary is said to have given the Scapular to an early Carmelite named Saint Simon Stock. The figures are exquisitely sculpted. Around the edge is the inscription ‘Virgo Carmeli’ and the engraver’s mark ‘OBC’.
At the top is a solid ring and a bail.
On the other side is Jesus with His sacred heart. This too is absolutely exquisitely sculpted.
