This charming, sterling silver celtic cross pendant is English and dates to circa the 1970’s. It is accompanied by an Italian sterling chain.
The chain measures 18” (46cms) long and together with the cross weighs 4.7 grams.
The cross is signed ‘AGB’ which stands for Adrian Gerald Benney (1930-2008). This leading British silversmith received various Royal Warrants, a sign that his work was highly regarded.
The cross measures 1 and 1/8” (2.8cms), including the ring, by 5/8” (1.6cms) across.
The celtic cross is pierced and embellished with an entwined celtic design. The reverse is textured. The signature AGB appears at top left.
This lovely necklace is in fine vintage condition and will arrive in a gift box.
