I am dating this exquisite English, 9 carat gold cross to the 1930’s. The old established firm of WH Wilmot moved into new premises in 1932 and introduced special tooling and machinery. I believe this cross was the result of that.
It measures 1¼” (3.3cms) long and ¾” (1.9cms) across. It weighs 1.3 grams.
On the front the cross has a wonderfully delicate , engine turned design with a plain square in the centre.
At the top is a ring and a bail for a chain.
On the plain back is the inscription “WHWLd” and ‘9C’ for 9 carat gold.
In fine vintage condition, this lovely cross will arrive in a gift box.
