TWO BEAUTIFUL PHOTOGRAPH postcards of Native American Indian Navajo men. The photographs are done in a black and cream color and the lighting detail is gorgeous! All three subjects are wrapped in Navajo weavings and are wearing them traditional style. The photographer titled the single man "Navajo Medicine Man" and the two men are titled "Navajos by Fire Light". The american photographer was Laura Gilpin. I read about her after seeing these cards and she had an exciting life. She was born in 1891 and passed in 1979. She loved photography and did not only portraits but landscapes. I believe these photographs were taken in the 1930's and later published in a book "The Enduring Navajo".
CONDITION: Both are unused, have no marks or writing. No odors. The one of the two men has a crease in the top left corner. Images are sharp and clear. These would be beautiful matted and framed together.
Thank you for your interest! Postcards come in acid free sleeves in hard backed mailers. They will come First Class with tracking.
